My Leadership Philosophy
This essay was written as a part of a Leadership Training course and helped me learn about myself and focus on my strengths.
My Marketing Philosophy
My philosophy is rooted in simplicity. It is critical to know your audience and tailor my message to them. Within the audience constraints, the message should be simple and concise. Avoid jargon and ten dollar words wherever possible. If I can boil the message down to where an eighth grader can grasp it, anyone will get it. Artwork should be dynamic and grab my audience - it is my first opportunity to engage them. If I can’t earn that initial engagement, they’ll never read my message. Finally, my goal in marketing isn’t to sell the customer, but to create an environment where they are informed and are ready to buy. Marketing should provide value before the sale so the customer is already primed to buy before they ever speak to a sales consultant.
